Our story and mission

Founded in Kanoni Gomba, Uganda, Kayizzi Coffee combines engineering innovation with sustainable agriculture to transform local coffee processing, empower farming families, and protect our environment.

Born from a desire to solve real farming struggles

Growing up in Kanoni Gomba, our founder witnessed firsthand the immense hardships local farmers, including his own parents, faced just to get their coffee processed for value addition. Delayed collections and outdated facilities meant lost yields and diminished income. As an electrical engineer, he decided to return home and build a modern, high-precision processing facility that gives farmers reliable market access, quick turnaround, and guaranteed quality control.

Engineering clean, emission-free coffee processing

Traditional coffee mills across the region rely on aging diesel engines that release heavy greenhouse emissions. Kayizzi Coffee operates entirely differently. We utilize advanced, high-precision processing equipment powered cleanly by solar energy and hydroelectricity. By replacing fossil fuels with renewable power, we actively combat greenhouse gas emissions while setting a new standard for sustainable manufacturing in Uganda.

Empowering communities and elevating Ugandan coffee

When you choose Kayizzi Coffee, you support a movement that directly benefits local farming communities. We collect fresh, unhusked dry and ripe cherries from regional farmers and retail stores, process them with precision, and export premium Ugandan coffee worldwide. Our operations generate meaningful youth employment, strengthen Uganda's GDP, and ensure farmers receive fair value for their harvest.

"By partnering with Kayizzi Coffee, our harvest is collected promptly without waste, and we take immense pride in seeing our beans processed cleanly and shared with coffee lovers worldwide."
